Rules

  • Instrumental tunes only

  • Qualifier round limited to 3 minute performance

  • Final round limited to 5 minute performance

  • One backup musician permitted per round

  • Competitors must perform different tunes each round

  • Players will be assigned a random number and called by number only

  • Judges will deliberate from a separate area

  • Top 3 competitors from qualifiers advance to finals

The Outlanders Quarterly Opry is an event designed to promote acoustic music and regional bands. These events feature a variety of main stage bands representing a range of genres including bluegrass bands, gypsy jazz, folk, Irish, and trad among others.

In addition to live band performances throughout the day, there are free workshops hosted by OPBSC members and of course open jamming throughout the night.

Oprys are all ages. Food is available for purchase at the venue, and their is a highly suggested donation of $15 / person which helps us fund more events like this.
